Wilderness First Aid-February 2015

Wilderness First Aid is a 2 day course, which will help you prepare for the unexpected. This fast paced, hands-on training is designed to meet the needs of scouts, scout leaders, camp staff, outdoor enthusiasts and individuals working in remote locations. It will introduce you to caring for people who become ill or injured far from definitive medical care.

Classroom lectures and demonstrations are combined with hands-on practice sessions and realistic outdoor scenarios, where you will be challenged to integrate your learning skills. At the end of the course, you’ll have the knowledge, skills and ability to make sound decisions in emergency situation.  This course certification is good for 2 years.

Are you going to be part of a high adventure PhilmontNorthern Tier, Bechtel Summit or Sea Base crew? Starting in 2015, each crew must have two people trained in Wilderness First Aid.

Taught by seasoned instructors, the WFA class will be held Saturday February 28th and Sunday March 1st.  Learning takes place in both classroom and outdoor setting regardless of most weather condition. An CPR/AED class will be offered Friday, February 27th.
